Focus will be on authentic Italian cuisine, with pasta made from scratch, homemade pizza dough for the Roman pizzas and fresh ingredients. In addition to serving guests at the Trattoria, the kitchen will also prepare food for some of Ekerum’s larger events.

If you have experience in Italian cooking and a passion for great food, this is an opportunity to take responsibility for a new kitchen and help build something from the ground up.

Your role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the daily kitchen operations at our Trattoria. You will contribute ideas, maintain high standards of quality and bring passion to the kitchen while helping us develop our Italian concept.

Trattoria Öland has a pulsating summer season and when the Trattoria is closed, you will work as a chef at Restaurang Öland, giving you variety in your work.

Who are we looking for?

• You have experience in Italian cooking, preferably with pasta, pizza and Italian ingredients.

• You are passionate and creative, with a strong focus on quality and flavor.

• You are organized, committed and a team player.

• You are willing to prepare larger pizza and pasta buffets for events.

• You take initiative, organize the kitchen’s daily work, lead the staff and inspire your colleagues.

• Italian as your first language or experience working in an Italian kitchen is an advantage.

Employment conditions

• Position: Head Chef – Italian Cuisine

• Employment: Permanent position

• Start date: During the first quarter of 2027, by agreement

• Accommodation: You are expected to arrange your own long-term accommodation. Temporary staff accommodation may be available during the first month.
